Privacy Policy
At SeaRoutesNav, we take the protection of your personal information seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard your data, including when we use cookies, analytics, advertising, and other third-party technologies.
Purpose
The goal of this Privacy Policy is to explain clearly why we collect your personal data, how we use it, and what steps we take to keep it secure. Transparency is important to us because it helps build trust with our users.
Who does this apply to?
This policy applies to all visitors and customers of www.searoutesnav.com, as long as you are at least 15 years old. If you are younger, you may only use our services with prior parental consent.
Why do we process your data?
- To provide access to our website and services.
- To respond to your requests, questions, or complaints.
- To manage customer support and billing operations.
- To keep you informed about updates, offers, or newsletters (with consent where required).
- To improve our services with analytics and feedback.
Data collection
We collect data directly from you when you sign up, use our services, or contact us. We may also gather limited data from public events or social networks. Please note that anything you post on social media voluntarily is your responsibility.

- Identification and contact details – stored for the duration of your account plus legal retention periods.
- Payment and billing information – stored as required by accounting and tax law.
- Email addresses for marketing – kept for up to 3 years after last interaction or until you unsubscribe.
- Technical data (logs, IP) – stored for up to 1 year.
- Cookies and consent records – retained according to their purpose and provider. Current cookie names, purposes, providers, and durations are available in our consent preference center.
Your rights
You may exercise the following rights at any time:
- Access and obtain a copy of your data.
- Correct inaccurate or outdated information.
- Request deletion of non-essential data.
- Object to receiving marketing messages.
- Request portability of your personal data.
- Withdraw consent for optional cookies and similar technologies at any time.
To exercise these rights, contact us at support@searoutesnav.com. We may ask for proof of identity before processing your request.
Data sharing
We do not sell personal information for money. We share limited data with trusted providers when necessary to operate the service, process payments, provide support, measure usage, manage consent, and fund free access through advertising. These providers include Google, Stripe, Tawk.to, and the other services described below.
International transfers
Some of our providers may process data outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
How we protect your data
We apply technical and organizational security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or loss.
Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies
We and our providers use cookies, local storage, pixels or web beacons, IP addresses, and similar identifiers. These technologies are used for the following purposes:
- Strictly necessary: authentication, session security, fraud prevention, and anonymous route-usage limits.
- Preferences: remembering consent and interface choices.
- Analytics: understanding visits, feature usage, and site performance through Google Analytics and, where enabled, Yandex Metrica.
- Advertising: displaying and measuring Google AdSense ads on selected pages for visitors who are not signed in with a Business plan.
- Support and media: providing live support through Tawk.to and privacy-enhanced video embeds through YouTube.
Signed-in Business plan accounts do not see Google AdSense ad placements. Where consent is legally required, optional cookies and similar storage are used only according to the choices made through our consent interface.
Consent management and Google Consent Mode
We use Google's Consent Management Platform (Google CMP) to display consent choices, remember your preferences, and communicate them to participating providers. This is used to manage consent for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and other regions where consent is required.
Our Google tags use region-specific Google Consent Mode. In regions where prior consent is required, advertising storage, analytics storage, advertising user data, and ad personalization remain denied until Google CMP provides your choice. Google may still receive consent-state or cookieless measurement signals for basic measurement and modeling. In other regions, optional analytics, advertising measurement, and support technologies may start when the page loads. Use the cookie bar or the cookie button in the bottom-right corner to reject optional technologies, review your choices, or change them at any time.
Where Google CMP applies, Yandex Metrica and Tawk.to are not loaded until the corresponding purposes are permitted. Elsewhere they may load on the initial visit so we can measure site usage and provide live support. If you reject an optional category, the related service is stopped for subsequent activity and future visits on that browser. Information already transmitted before an opt-out may remain subject to the provider's retention rules. Privacy-enhanced YouTube content is loaded only after you choose to open the video.
Google Analytics and Google AdSense
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use SeaRoutesNav and Google AdSense to display and measure ads. When these services are active, the browser may send Google information such as the page URL, IP address, general location, browser or device information, interactions, and consent signals. Google and other advertising vendors may place or read cookies, or use web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers, as a result of ads being served on our site.
Subject to your consent and settings, Google and its partners may use advertising cookies to serve ads based on visits to SeaRoutesNav and other websites. If ad personalization is declined, contextual, non-personalized, or limited ads may still be displayed. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services and manage personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings.
